Ми почали часто чути слова STEM-освіта, але не всі розуміють, а що це. Про те, що потрібно поєднувати науки в школі, працювати на їх практичну направленість говорять вже давно, посилаючись на тести PISA та приклади Фінляндії, де вважають, що якщо молода людина вже на виході зі школи буде володіти актуальним запасом практичних знань з урахуванням всіх сучасних комп'ютерних технологій та навичками пошуку інформації, то можна очікувати, що вона принесе користь не тільки самій собі, а й державі.
